Item #4 Subbase
We offer 3/4", 1 1/4" and 3" subbase. The strength and durability of a driveway are not only determined by the type of concrete mix but also by base or subbase over which it's poured. A layer of gravel placed between the soil and the concrete or pavement prevents damage from shifting and heaving and increases the weight-bearing capacity of the driveway. (When available).
